I grew up fishing and don't really remember not fishing. My earliest fishing memories are with my dad who was an avid tournament angler during the 80.'s and 90's  I primarily fished for bass even from a early age. My first boat was a 12ft john boat i got in 10th grade. I had no trailer and a small bow mounted trolling motor. Later on that summer I graduated to a 7.5 Merc, still no trailer. Later I saved enough to finally make a homemade trailer. (humble beginnings) I learned so much from those days! I wouldn't trade my beginnings for anything now. At the age of 19 I bought my dad's bass boat and I haven't stopped since. Nearly everybody on my father's side of the family is involved in fishing in some type of way.  Some like to fish others just like to eat them! My dad was the only one to venture into the competition side of the sport.

I've always had a fascination with the sport of bass fishing. Nearly every decision I've made since high school has been influenced by my need to be on the water. Where I wanted to live, what i wanted to drive, where I went to school, how I would earn money all hinged on how much time it would leave for fishing. I sometime wander what people do that don't fish. It's always been the center piece of conversation at our Sunday dinners in my family. I'm so thankful for the opportunities the Lord has provided for me over the years. I've got do and see things far greater than my education or finances can afford.

Brian's Gear

The Lew's reels feel natural in my hand and i have better control over my cast. When I need distance and speed, i use the ProTi, when I need accuracy and precision, I use the new Custom.
