RODS

 

DOES MY ROD HAVE A WARRANTY?

 

Rod warranties are limited and vary by model and year of manufacture from 1 year to Limited Lifetime. As a general rule, all combo rods and rods with a MSRP of $100 or less manufactured since January 2010 have a 1 year limited warranty. Specific information regarding warranties can be found below.

For fastest, most efficient service, please CLICK HERE and fill out form completely, including all requested images. Please note, this form is also applicable for broken rods from combos where the reels have no functional issues or damages and do not need replacement or service.

CAN I EXCHANGE MY BROKEN ROD FOR A NEW ONE?

 

If we are unable to provide an exact replacement for an in warranty rod, we may, at our discretion, offer an upgrade or model change to fulfill our warranty commitment to you.  

 

MY COMBO ROD BROKE, DO I HAVE TO SEND MY REEL TOO?

 

We only need the reel if there is an issue with it also. In the rare case we also need the reel, Consumer Services will let you know. 

 

HOW DO I PUT THE INSERT BACK IN MY ROD GUIDE?

 

Guide inserts are not replaceable. Please reach out to Customer Service at (877) 470-LEWS to find out how to replace your guide.

 

CAN YOU SHIP RODS TO A P.O. BOX?

 

No, we cannot ship rods to P.O. Boxes. Most automated postal facilities are not equipped to handle packages of this size and weight.

 

HOW DO I PACK MY ROD FOR SHIPPING?

 

Contact Consumer Services at (877) 470-LEWS to review shipping requirements and assure your returned item will arrive with least chance of damage to the returning item.

REELS

 

DOES MY REEL HAVE A WARRANTY?

 

Reels manufactured since January 2010 have a 1 year limited warranty. Click here for official and complete warranty information. Only AWSC designated Centers are authorized to repair reels under factory warranty.

 

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO GET MY REEL FIXED?

 

You are responsible for the costs of sending the item(s) to the Repair Center and insuring safe arrival. Services provided by warranty are at no additional cost to you. Non-warranted service prices are determined by the servicing center.

Request an estimate when completing the Repair Service Form. Service Center may include an estimate fee if the reel is not repaired.

 

WHERE DO I SEND MY REEL IN TO GET FIXED?

 

Our Authorized Service Centers will determine the warranty status of your reel and are able to estimate any non-warranted services. Download an AWSC form from the list above and contact them for return instructions prior to sending your reel in for service.

 

SERVICE

 

HOW DO I REQUEST PROFESSIONAL SERVICE?

 

  • Complete Service Repair Form for each reel, enclose with reel(s), and ship to the Service Center of your choice.
  • Ensure and obtain a tracking number for your shipment to the center.  Service Centers are not responsible for lost or damaged packages.
  • Service times vary by season.  Contact the service center of your choice for current service times.  Allow a minimum 3-weeks.  Rush service may be available for a fee.
  • Service and Shipping rates are established by the Service Center and may vary among Centers.

 

HOW LONG WILL REPAIRS TAKE?

 

Service times vary by season, shipping service selected, distance, and response back to the service center. Your selected service center will be able to give you a more accurate turn time when you are ready to send the item. Allow a minimum 3-weeks total for shipping the item to the center, actual repair time, and return shipping time back to you. Expedited services may be available for a fee.

 

WARRANTY SERVICE CENTERS

 

  • Only AWSC designated Service Centers are authorized to provide repair services under factory warranty.
  • AWSCs validate warranty eligibility.
  • You will be contacted if AWSC is unable to repair your reel under warranty when warranty is requested on the Service Repair Form.

LEW'S ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

 

Lew’s® warrants its products to withstand normal use for the purpose designed and intended when manufactured for a period of one (1) year from the original retail sale date to the original retail consumer when purchased directly from Lew's or an authorized Lew's reseller. Lew’s® will at its option repair or replace Lew’s® products when required for the warranty period and return the product to the owner at no additional cost to the owner.

 

Numerous products have been manufactured under variations of the Lew’s® name and under the Lew’s® Logo by multiple businesses over the past 50 years. This warranty is specifically for products manufactured on behalf of Lew’s® of Springfield, Missouri USA since January 1, 2010. Lew’s® products manufactured by or on behalf of other entities prior to January 1, 2010 are not covered by this warranty.

 

In all circumstances, this Warranty is limited in value to the original retail value of the product and is limited to actual damage to the Lew’s® product and only the Lew’s® product. Loss of a product, and loss / damage of a product or parts due to the attempted repair or servicing of a Lew’s® product by any person or business other than Lew’s® or Lew’s® Authorized Warranty Service Agent, and damage caused by or resulting from abuse, misuse, lack of recommended maintenance, accident, acts of God, and shipping damages occurring in transit to Lew’s® or Lew’s® Authorized Agent are outside the scope of Lew’s® Limited Warranty and will be repaired through Lew’s® after warranty services at the expense of the consumer. Any products replaced by Lew’s® will be new or remanufactured by a Lew’s® Authorized Agent with the same or next model upgrade product. Lew’s® will return warranted products to the consumer by reasonable means as determined by Lew’s®. Express or expedited services are the responsibility of the consumer as is sending the product to Lew’s®, or Lew’s® Authorized Agent, for Warranty Service. Lew’s® and Lew’s® Service Agents as authorized by Lew’s® are the sole agents authorized to repair or replace Lew’s® products under the terms of this warranty. Only written changes by an officer of Lew’s® can alter the terms or conditions of this warranty.

 

This warranty gives you specific legal rights including additional rights extended by some states which do not allow certain exclusions and limitations. Any action brought against Lew's® for the purpose of settling a warranty dispute shall be brought and litigated in the State of Missouri, County of Greene.

 

LEW'S ONE YEAR LIMITED ROD WARRANTY

 

Lew’s® warrants to the original retail customer that this rod is free from nonconformities in materials and construction. We will, at our option, repair or replace any non-conforming Lew's® rod returned to us with postage prepaid* with a like or similar rod. In all cases, this Limited One Year Warranty is limited in value to the original retail value of Lew's® rod originally purchased and is solely limited to actual damage to the Lew's® rod originally purchased. If Lew's® determines that your damaged rod is not covered by the Lew's® Limited One Year Rod Warranty, we will contact you to provide options of purchasing a replacement rod at a reduced warranty charge.

 

Please note that this warranty does not cover products purchased from unauthorized resellers, rod damage or loss resulting from misuse, abuse, alteration, direct or consequential damages caused by attempted or completed repairs completed by anyone other than a Lew's® Authorized Warranty Service Agent, neglect, accident, Act of God, or shipping damages.

 

LEW'S ONE YEAR LIMITED COMBO WARRANTY

 

Lew's® warrants to the original retail customer that this combo is free from nonconformities in material and construction. We will, at our option, repair or replace any non-conforming Lew's® combo returned to us with postage prepaid* with a like or similar combo. In all cases, this Limited One Year Warranty is limited in value to the original retail value of the Lew's® combo originally purchased and is solely limited to actual damage to the Lew's® combo originally purchased. If Lew's® determines that your damaged combo is not covered by the Lew's® Limited One Year Combo Warranty, we will contact you to provide options of purchasing a replacement combo at a reduced warranty charge.

 

Please note that this warranty does not cover products purchased from unauthorized resellers, combo damage or loss resulting from misuse, abuse, alteration, direct or consequential damages caused by attempted or completed repairs by anyone other than a Lew's® Authorized Warranty Service Agent, neglect, accident, Act of God, or shipping damages.

 

LEW'S TWO YEAR LIMITED ROD WARRANTY

 

Lew’s® warrants to the original retail customer that this rod is free from nonconformities in materials and construction. We will, at our option, repair or replace any non-conforming Lew's® rod returned to us with postage prepaid* with a like or similar rod. In all cases, this Limited Two Year Warranty is limited in value to the original retail value of Lew's® rod originally purchased and is solely limited to actual damage to the Lew's® rod originally purchased. If Lew's® determines that your damaged rod is not covered by the Lew's® Limited Two Year Rod Warranty, we will contact you to provide options of purchasing a replacement rod at a reduced warranty charge.
