Team Lew’s is pleased to introduce a tournament quality design in the 9th year of the company’s American Hero family of rods and reels. Like its honored namesake, the newest line-up of rods and reels for American Hero are Tier One performers. Engineered with a premium 10-bearing system and Lew’s dependable externally adjustable Magnetic Control System (MCS), the Tier 1 Baitcast Reel makes long casts with precision and cranks effortlessly. Featuring a one-piece aluminum frame with graphite sideplates, the Tier 1 LFS Baitcast Reel boasts the weight and performance that tournament anglers demand.
Lew’s Fishing Pro Jamey Caldwell, Sergeant Major (Ret) US Army Special Operations, worked tirelessly with Lew’s to develop the new Tier 1 design. “I simply must have high-quality gear that will match my drive and devotion on the water,” Caldwell offered. “For competitive anglers who are committed to their pursuit, there is simply no compromise.”
Lew’s Tier 1 Spinning Reel is engineered with a high-performance 11 bearing system, featuring a Zero Reverse® one-way clutch bearing, and is built on a feather-weight aluminum frame to answer the call of the competitive angler. Designed with enough finesse for any light application, yet strong enough to bear the name of Tier 1.
Finally, a flagship feature of the American Hero family is the new Tier 1 rod. Each model in the series features Lew’s proprietary HM50 high modulus construction, with two layers of graphite and reinforced with carbon nano fibers – or as Caldwell explains it, “all the strength you need.” For serious competitive fishing, the Tier 1 rod balances core power and extreme sensitivity.
